Pont-Scorff is situated in Southern Brittany in the Southwest part of the province of Morbihan. The towns of Lorient, Quimperlé and Hennebont can be reached in ten minutes and beaches are fifteen minutes away. It lies in a green area at the heart of the region of Lorient.

The town is surrounded by wooded areas and rivers such as the Scorff and the Scave. The Scorff is a haven for salmon and trout fishermen and is a target for studies and actions whose aim is to protect this environment and to make it more attractive.

Pont-Scorff’s development focuses significantly on cultural tourism. The town’s architectural heritage is important (it includes buildings such as the 16th century Maison des Princes de Rohan, listed houses built in the 16th, 17th, and 18th century, etc…). Very specific projects, over the last few years have been started and are still in place to preserve, restore, and highlight this heritage. The natural beauty of the Scorff valley gives the town a natural environment in harmony with the rich architecture.

The craft industry is a driving force that boosts the tourist and cultural potential of Pont-Scorff. For the council it is a major asset for economic development. The ‘’circuit des artisants’’ (a local craft trail) in an old part of Pont-Scorff allows you to visit the workshops of some thirty local craftsmen. Workshops and galleries attract a great number of visitors.

One noticeable feature is the architecture in the centre of the old town, which includes a number of buildings and houses with character. The town offers a coherent image of craftsmen and artists working in an environment with fine and suitable architecture.
